Mar Thoma Senior Secondary School was established in the year 1982 at Kozhencherry in Pathanathitta district, situated in a calm and serene campus in the heart of Kozhencherry at a short distance from the main Kozhencherry bus stand. The school has reached now the top ladder of progress and development from humble beginning to an area of perfection. We stand unique by providing excellent educational facilities for the rural majority. The present strength 1,130+ students proclaims the wide acclamation the school has been receiving now.
The School is owned and managed by the Mar Thoma Church Socio-Economic-Educational and Development Society, Kozhencherry. The Mar Thoma Metropolitan is the Parton and the Vicar of the St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church, Kozhencherry is the manager of the school. The school is run by a Governing Board appointed by the society.
Since 1982, the school has outshined in curricular and co-curricular activities. Planted and nurtured by the eminent personalities of St. Thomas Church, Kozhencherry, our school lies in the lap of the Pampa river, sanctified by Maramon convention which is Asia’s largest Christian gathering. We adopt the modern methods of teaching and lay emphasis on value based education. MTSSS is a co-educational institution offering a challenging curriculum and an enriching learning experience from pre-kindergarten through Senior Secondary level. We equip the students to face the academic challenges and help them tackle problems beyond the text books. Affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, Thiruvananthapuram Region, we have been an active member of Central Travancore Shahodaya Complex since inception. We integrate formal, community service, cultural and aesthetic activities.
